To design the battery array, we need to know several things:
- How much energy you use on the heaviest use day of the year.
- How long you intend to run on batteries if you cannot collect power from the Sun
- The voltage you intend to deliver to the Inverter
- The efficiency of the batteries
We already know part of this information.
We are designing the system for a 50 KWh day. That is the peak energy usage I have had in the past 15 years.
The voltage delivered to the inverter is 48 VDC
I plan on growing the battery array so it stores 3 days of energy, but initially it will just store enough energy to get me through one day
The efficiency of the batteries will require some discussion.
